REFLECTION:
1) RICHARD A/L PREKASH
From this project I have learned the importance of a leader to a country. I have also learned how to create a blog from scratch. This helped me increase my knowledge and my ability to properly manage my time. I also wouldn't be able to successfully deliver this project without my team members. We helped each other and completed this project in the most creative and interesting way possible. i have also learned that the Rukun Negara is one of the most important element for our country's unity and peace. I have also learned how to interview and get the most out of people. This helped me further increase my knowledge in all areas including life and unity among people. The interview that we conducted in my opinion was an experience that will last a lifetime. Moreover I have also increased my social skills to its new height and learned that there is no need to be scared or petrified during talking. Next, I have educated myself with better mannerism and behavior and also how to conduct myself in front of people. I have learned to be a professional when it is necessary. I would also like to mention that the teamwork that I have had with my team was amazing and exhilarating making this project one of my favorite. My team leader, Sreetharan is a great leader and is able to properly guide us and teach us many things that we didn't know or understand. Moreover he is also an one of a kind planner. Next, my team member which is Razeen helped complete the project as he is a great presenter and can present his ideas in the most creative way possible. Calvin's knowledge in historical events also contributed greatly to our project as it eased our burden of getting information elsewhere on the internet. Afiq's ability to manage time and his proficiency in BM helped us greatly in our project. Finally Daniel's ability to get information on the internet and his presenting style helped us in the completion of our project. Each of us contributed all of our time and energy into this project which makes it a memorable and precious project to all of us. I have also learned how to properly manage my time to increase my efficiency to complete this project. I have also learned to create a time table through this project to effectively manage my time. I have completed the blog and as i have said it was one of my greatest achievement. Each of us accepted and respected our peers ideas and put in time and effort to understand and use it for our blog. We also had some brainstorming sessions which helped me both mentally and further my understanding to understand and solve a problem. We used 4W1H to help us understand our topic more deeply. The team members also respected my opinions. Last but not least, I know that everything that was used to complete our Soft Skills can be used in real life scenario which is why i love studying Soft Skills.
2) MUHAMMAD RAZEEN BIN SHEIK OSMAN
From this project I have learned so many useful thing that I can apply in my life and my future workplace. I've learned communication skills between my team member which is important for me when I finish my studies. I've learned how to respect my members opinion and accept it. The connection of spirit between me and my members from this BMW team are extremely good which makes us can work as a team without having any clash. If there's a problem when doing this project, we would find the root of the problem and solved it together. Everyone put in equal efforts to finish the projected will brainstorm about the project together and everyone will give and take other's idea simultaneously finish this project in a suitable condition. No worries and rushing or even arguments between us .This means that the time management that we had is really marvelous. We never finish this project last minute. Everything is done from time to time and even sometimes we are ahead from what we have planned. Personally, from this project I notice that leadership and followership skills are the most important thing when doing group project. These two skills between team members is the one that will make sure whether the work can be finish accordingly to what we have planned or not. On top of that there is something that I've also learned which is critical and creative thinking. It is one of the skills that is really important in doing group project because it can makes us to think out of the box .Interviewing people is another skills that I learned during this project such as the ethics and morals that we need to have in order to ask people's opinion. Next, if we want to make any decision, I've learned the important of 5W 1H question-chart and SWOT. These 3 method is really important because we can implement it to make sure that any idea or decision that we make is relevant or not. I personally think these skills is a long term effect that I get by doing this project because I can implement it at my workplace in future. So as a conclusion, there are so many benefit that I get together with my teammates by the end of this project. By studying and doing research regards our topic which is the great Tunku Abdul Rahman that have inspires us to become a leader also have realize that how important is manners and behaviors because by having both of that characters in our life, it can change people perspective on us that makes us followed and get idolise.Moreover in order to have a great nation, unity is the most basic yet important because we are living in a country with multiple races. If we all apply all of these skills of leadership and manners, definitely we can become the best version of ourself in the future
3) MUHAMMAD AFIQ ZAHIN BIN AZIZI
I have learned a lot to have a characteristic of a leadership in future which is soon to be such as a leader of family . In this project , I also have learned and know more about TAR leadership that have been struggle to gaining independence and unite us in a country which have a various of races . Some of the Soft Skill that I gain is the experience to have an interview with the educated people such as lecturer which we have been asked her a few question about TAR and have such a good responses . Not just by that , I have such a good communication with my teammates which we have discuss and doing a lot of meeting to done this project successfully . My teammates have a good skill and cooperation which make us work like a family . Moreover , the thing that I loved to be learned the most in this project is the manners and behavior that the leader should have . As we know that the leader should showing a good attitude to their followers so that the rules and the laws set are not violated . The Followers need to give cooperation and their loyalty to their leader so that the process will go as the expectation . This will remind me of my teammates which we have give a good communication and follow the leader's words so that we can follow the flow of this project . Then , I learned to to manage times well such as clearing my schedule for something that are not giving a benefits to me and do something beneficial which is attended a several meetings that have been arranged by leader . I think I have being a good followership here . Not just me but my teammates also put an equal efforts and I have been grateful to have a really good teammates for done this project . From another point of view , I have learned a short terms and a long terms that can be useful for me in the future . For the short terms , I have gain how to managed my time and demonstrate my commitment to the project assigned so that me and my teammates can complete this project on time . For the long terms , I can build my spirits to being a leadership that have a good characteristics in terms of manners and behavior for being a leadership that have a clear vision and goals in the future . Furthermore , I have been respects and accepts my teammates suggestions on this project and they also are respects and accepts my opinion and suggestion which make me want to cooperate again with them in the next project . All of my teammates play an important role so that no one will disappointed with their efforts that have been given . The leader and the follower have a good connection which this will make this project go as our expectation and have a progress from time to time . From the meeting that we have make , we have a brainstorming session such as finding the topic of our project , find the solution for the problem and create an another backup plan for this project . That have make us thinking a lot to solving this project successfully . Last but not least , I have gain a good writing skills which we have to do an essay for our topic in the blog . I also got the problem solving skills such as using a WH questions , SWOT and T chart . By using this , I have to being a creative and critical thinking for finding the solution of our topic so that the project would be done well . Lastly , the skill that can being useful for me in the future workplace is the skill of communication , the skill of respects and accepts others opinion , the skill of time management and the most important skill that we have to use wherever we are is the manners and behavior because it will show our real self.
4) SREETHARAN A/L MATHAVAN
When I first was presented with this project, I thought to myself that managing this project will be the same as last semester with the subject of Philosophy and Modern Issues. However, this Soft Skills CID Project was totally different. It had layers of knowledge and wisdom that I had to uncover part by part. The chemistry of a team and the connection between team members is not that which comes naturally but it comes with time we spent together bonding while facing adversaries which in turn constructs a layer of trust and respect between the team. As a Leader of this project I have also learned that time management of myself is not only the factor I should take account but also the time management as well as the schedule of each team member in order to organise the work load equally and have meetings at the right time. In order to get tasks done, group meeting is the prime driving force in which I can explain to team members of what we are going to do as a team member and what each persons role is, whether its a fixed or alternating role that requires a lot of flexibility. Every meeting is an opportunity for each member to express their opinions and thoughts, I learned that as a leader I have to set the tone of the meeting so that each member knows that it is very crucial and necessary to accept and respect everyone's opinion because each of us have a different perspective of the world which in turn can lead to golden ideas to be introduced that helps with the overall progress of the project. Other than that, I had to cater the work given to each member depending their strengths, this in turn boosted our overall efficiency as a team that is for the better time to productivity ratio. As Team BMW progressed and as we learned about our historical figure in depth that even our high school education did not teach us, we as team and I personally realised that the phycology of Tunku Abdul Rahman was different and was not appreciated enough by Malaysian for the adversaries he overcame. Tunku Abdul Rahman was special, he had leadership skills that rivalled even the British Empire. That taught us something, it is not only where we are born that will shape us but also the mindset and determination of a person that makes an individual a great persona that can influence, shape as well as change environments for good. Empathy is also a skill that I have improved while doing this project as I have to put myself in the shoes of my team members to know if it is good decision to conduct a meeting, ask a member to finish a task or even if the it is the right time to complete something collectively. Critical and creative thinking was a humongous part of this whole project and mental aids such us SWOT and T-Chart was very helpful in solving problems .Lastly, i would like say that in order for unity to occur in an environment whether it is in a group setting or the unity of the entire country, it is the leader that will plant the seed for unity however for it to flourish and grow into something greater the followers are the ones that will water and nourish it until it becomes a strong and unshakable tree.
5) CALVIN ETHAN
I understood and learned that its never easy as we think it is to be a great leader. Tunku Abdul Rahman showed us how to be a good leader who was eligible to give us independence day not only to prove that anyone could do that, but to show that it takes more than a great leader with great discipline and knowledge to form a country. This is a good example for nowadays leaders to take him as an example to be a better leader and be accountable on anything that happens in their country. They should be responsible for everything as they should realise their position is crucial and important on deciding how a nation is supposed to be. Moreover through this assessment, I learned that without teamwork our whole project wouldnt have be in the state it is right now and it reminds me that even the politicians who are running this country should have a good communication and good teamwork to make sure that everything goes on well and the government is in good hands. We learned much more than we knew about TAR before this and it has taught us how to do better in our lives from the principles and personality of TAR. TAR should be taken seriously even after his death as his legacy and his good work still lives in each of us through his deed of giving us freedom. Nowadays generation, especially those who are starting their schooling life should learn about him and understand that it is important to take TAR seriously and make sure our nation is in good hands in the future as nowadays everything is changing and hasn't been as it was before. Unity is something that makes sure every citizen doesn't fight among each other in need of their own needs and their own thoughts. Unity doesn't only affect the citizens if it's not being applied in our nation, but it also ruins our nation and affects every single bit in our country. We should take note of everything that has happened in the past, especially the deed of TAR to make sure our country goes on smooth and well instead of our country going to a wrong path. Nowadays generation should follow his foot path to prevent any problem which may lead to a bigger problem to our country.
6) MOHAMAD ARIFF DANIEL BIN ISMAIL
I would like to express my gratitude for working with the members of the group that I have chosen. I have found a group full of good manners and trusting. My leader and co-workers also gave a good commitment. To be honest, my time is very tight with work and programs and studies that I have to take care of but my group leader Sree and other colleagues try to follow my time even till late at night, they will never leave and leave me alone. The effort and cooperation given by each member of the group is very good and satisfying. There are various knowledge that I have learned while doing this project. They often provide help and never give a bad response to my suggestions and even help to improve ideas. Everyone is very good at playing their roles. In addition, I also learned how to attract fans to read what I have written. Next, I learned the 4W1H Technique to get the best answer for each problem. Therefore, I am very grateful to the lectures and colleagues for the knowledge and help that have been given, thank you so much.
